EU Ambassador Ianos Herman Visiting European University
Today, 10 April 2017 by invitation of European University International Office, Mr Ianos Herman, Ambassador of the European Union to Georgia met with the university students to talk on the visa liberalisation for Georgia.
At the meeting, which represented the wider community of the university, the ambassador reviewed relations between the European Union and Georgia. The students got interested in the future of the partnership. As Ianos Herman noted, the visa liberalisation is only one of the steps in the way of friendship and partnership between the EU and Georgia and it will go further. The ambassador answered the questions on the exchange programs as well. In his opinion, education is one the most important areas of development in Georgia and the European Union is active in this process.
At the of the fruitful meeting, the students expressed their willingness to attend similar meetings. European University as a higher education institution which shares European values, will continue interesting meetings on the Western ideals and institutions
