On 24 October 2018, European University will host an international student conference "Problems and Challenges in Criminal Law". Mark A. Speiser – judge of Miami, USA, will be the conference chair. Only the Law faculty students from different universities can attend the event.

Mark A. Speiser has graduated from the American University (Washington D.C.) in 1969. Then he became the student of The University of North Carolina. Furthermore, after graduating from the latter, in 1976 finished his studies at Georgetown University (Washington D.C.). Speiser has worked at different places: U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, U.S. Department of Justice, U.S. House of Representatives, State Attorney’s Office and Circuit Court Judge. Mark A. Speiser has conducted lectures to several leading universities not only in USA but in Post-Soviet countries as well, including: Masaryk university in Czech Republic, Tallinn University of Technology School of Law, Dnipropetrovsk State University of Internal Affairs, Minsk University, Belarusian State University School of Law and others. Mark A. Speiser visits European University for the third time.
