European University hosted the closing ceremony of the World Championship in programming
On December 5, 2017, European University hosted the closing ceremony of the World Championship semi-final and the South Caucasus Open Championship in programming among high educational institutions. Each participant of the event was awarded with the relevant certificate, as for winners – they were awarded with prizes.
The event has already been held in Georgia for 18th time by now. This year it was organized by ACM (Association for Computing Machinery) and European University together. The South Caucasus Regional Director of the event was the professor of the Georgian Technical University - Theodore Zarkua.
Students from different universities have participated in the World Competition. Among them there were the students from several universities: European University, Tbilisi State University, Georgian Technical University, University of Georgia, St. Andrew the first-called Georgian University, the International Black Sea University, Caucasus University, Shota Rustaveli State University, University of French-Georgian Institute of Informatics of TSU and Kutaisi State University.
Head of the Jury of the Championship will be Hamlet Meladze and the head of the Technical Committee - Maia Khurtsilava, Head of the Quality Assurance Office of European University.
